Ladies and gentlemen, here’s the mind-blowing sci-fi Korean thriller you need to watch right now:

Circle (a.k.a. Circle: Two Worlds Connected)

Currently airing on tvN and first released just last May 22, this sci-fi thriller is an epitome of mind-blowing fantasy with a staggering reality. Set within 2 time periods – one in 2017, where the Beta Project was first launched; and one in 2037, where the Brave New World was first introduced – it tells the story of how an alien invasion back in 2017 paved the way for a seemingly post-apocalyptic future where the world has been divided into two altered cities: the General City, where people suffer from sickening dust winds and violence; and the Smart City, where people don’t suffer from sickening dust winds and violence, but their emotions are controlled. Everything changed when twins Kim Woo Jin (portrayed by Yeo Jin Goo) and Kim Beom Gyoon (An Woo Yeon) meets student Han Jung Yeon (Kong Seung Yeon) after 10 years (2017) and when detective Kim Joon Hyuk (portrayed by Kim Kang Woo) investigates a crime committed in Smart City by a girl who was kidnapped 20 years ago (2037).
